Living Life

Life is too short to worry about the past. Nor wander through the remains of what once was and now belongs in the history books of time. Life is too precious to be counting the seconds. To live your life in fear and regret. Go out and see the world, You may only get that chance once. Breathe deeply, take it all into you. Listen to the sounds around you, find joys in the song of birds the rustling leaves of trees. Touch, taste, feel, experience all that lay in front of you in the buffet of life. As that day will surely come when it is too late to do it any better, any different. Laugh as though it all is one big joke. Cry as though you heard the saddest thing you would ever hear. Scream as loud as you can, like nothing in the world can stop you. Run as fast as your legs can carry you on the path beneath your feet. Spread your arms open wide and embrace every moment, every second. You may not get that chance again.

I can tell you have a deep understanding of life. This poem has strength of spirit and gives me inspiration. The urge to do something worthwhile in life - the push to move forward and not waste your time in the past. It can be a difficult thing to do, but life is precious. I love the message of this piece. I will continue to read your work. Always, Laura
