Living In the Country

When the weather outside is cold and drab A steady drizzle will often turn to snow, Then I’d choose not to walk … I’d call a cab, But only if I live in a city, like Chicago, Because here in the country, it’s a no-go!

Clever Milt. I think Gershon will find it clever, and amusing, too! :)

You'd be a long time waiting Milton. But the country certainly has its benefits, best move I ever made over thirty years ago. Gershon will be chuffed. Tom

I thought of Gershon, up in Chicago where it gets bitter cold in the wintertime, when I wrote this, Tom.

Love it that you donated it to our friend Mr. Wolf! I may have to try to write one of these English Quintains. This is likeable!

I like them. For one thing, if you can't get the rhymes to work for an English Quintain, you can always convert it to a Sicilian Quintain. Yes, by all means, do! I'll look for it.
