Living Close To a Nuclear Plant

Living Close To a Nuclear Plant By Elton Camp The location of the nuclear plant I despise For it’s not very far away as the crow flies When built, the largest in the world we got It was capable of producing one gigawatt But frequent trouble the facility did give In an area where a great many folks live A fire damaged nuclear unit one Later, all three units were undone Operation and management not good enough After restart, a leak spilled some scary stuff Unit Two was later shut down for a day River water was too hot to cool they say And based on what’s happened before An earthquake could damage the core It’s safe the federal government does assure I hope that, for radiation, they have a cure With this bad record, the place isn’t fine I wish it was in your backyard, not mine
