Little Whistle

Dolphins have a language, all their own, ...an homage. Like the foreign tongue; the language yet unknown, ...mothers, name their dolphin children ...and give them homes; ...till their renamed or slaughtered. (Whistle) (Whistle) Little whistle, swimming fins, the crash of waves; ...take your kin afar away, or they'll be captured ...and forced to slave. All mothers love their young, ...dolphins have a culture, they recognize each other's voices, motions and faces; ...separation anxiety ensues and suicide follows. (Whistle) (Whistle) Little whistle, swimming fins, the crash of waves; ...take your kin afar away, or they'll be captured ...and forced to slave. Entertainment ...and the thrill of profit, these motives drive the world anew. Justifying exploit, enslavement and beyond, ...of dolphins as well as humans. Who laughs at other's pain? who locks them in a cage? the sadist prison guard ...or amusement park, their all the same. Only thinking of their gain, without shame. (Whistle) (Whistle) Little whistle, swimming fins, the crash of waves; ...take your kin afar away, or they'll be captured ...and forced to slave. Depression in captivity, all too common, all too sad, like the sun that never rises, and the moonless night that never ends. It's better to die in freedom, then live enslaved ...and so animals in captivity kill themselves. Yet scientists still wonder how, ...unable to accept, that an animal can make a choice; that contradicts survival instincts. Events that prove, ...that animals have a mind, that they can feel, hold no appeal ...and are disregarded. ...Lest their justification for enslavement, be proven wrong; no better, ...then the justification for segregation. ...And we all know that segregation is a crime. So sadists justify their lies; ...lest their reality crumble around them. (...whisper...) (...whistle...) (...whistle...) Little whistle, swimming fins, the crash of waves; ...take your kin afar away, or they'll be captured ...and forced to slave.
