Little Red Robin
He dances around without care in the world
darting from one place to another, spinning in a twirl
I look for him in winter but the trees are all bare
still looking and listening wondering if he is there.
At Christmas he will be out singing his song
with such vibrant colour he wont have to wait long
He is back for spring the courtship is sealed
Now he can relax his duty is fulfilled
For food is plenty and her belly will be filled
His song brings me peace
His colour brings me joy
His adventurous spirit gives me hope
Putting my worried mind at ease.
