Little Man's Sun
little man watches sadly, as his sun sets on another's world
his emptiness chased her out of sight, but never out of mind
she takes their pain along with her, a burden she must bear
for even stars must pay a price for hearts they cause despair
little man sees the big man walk, walking in the sunshine
he feels the cold as he's eclipsed and shivers in the dark
she shares her light with this new world, but knows what lies behind
for even stars can feel the pain of those that they've made blind
little man's eyes now only see the corona's faintest trace
his consequence's now come due, his tears were all too late
she sees the cold world's slow ellipse, passing out of sight
for even stars have memories of those they once did light
