Little Girl Lost

A little girl standing alone, the world is such a bad place. She turns around and her eyes plead, to see just one friendly face. Tears stream down like silent rain, they fall for all the human race. Stop crying now, it’s not so bad, dreams can still come true. Hope and love, still exist to take good care of you. A dreaming child undisturbed, true innocence is so dear. Angelic and unreal gently smiles, while all sweet things are so near. But the world is waiting to start its lesson to teach her the meaning of fear. Dream on my child your time will come, for doubting all that’s good. I’d save you from all hurt and pain if only I could. A little girl, much older now she seems so very different. Gone are the dreams of beauty now her childhood has been spent. Tears fall still from knowing eyes, but for herself they are meant. What have we done to take away, her joy in all around. We let her grow the way we are, within ourselves we are bound.
