Little Girl Birthday Bike

My sister Darlene little friend wanted a bike for her birthday more than anything. On that special day, she got her wish, they took turns riding it all day. We lived so far out in the country, along a lonely stretch of highway. It was her friends turn to ride the bike, she didn't see the car that sad day so long ago, it came up on her so fast. She died right away, only 11 years old, so young to leave this world. It was my first person to know that died, my sister Darlene was, so sad, she loved her friend so much, I can remember this, awful thing that happened in 1948, when I was only 5 years old, like it was yesterday. A day that had started out so happy, such a tragedy to take a life so young. wrote 10-16-08

This is such a tragic event. Just yesterday a car hit a pedestrian and tried to escape. The pedestrian was stuck under the car and it crashed. They chased him a caught him. Hopefully, they caught the driver of this event. May her soul rest in peace! Great job! ~Joseph

James this poem is very tragic - I had a childhood friend who died in a similar accident - My first encounter with death was watching my mother drown when I was four - I to remember it like it was yesterday - Some memories never fade - God Bless

James this is very touching and sad. I know one thing that little girl is with Jesus. Amen. Life sometimes brings on trajedies that we dont understand but we have to trust kthat God is in control and that we have a loving God. Im sure James your son is in a better place. Like my mom someday we will join them. God bless them and you Michael
