Oh, little spider in my pretty garden lurking,
weaving a gossamer web working, working;
it is twined and twined among my roses red,
lovely, lovely is each delicate filigree thread.
Thank you so much little spider for taking care,
for catching those garden insects in your snare;
and when a strong wind blows your web away,
you create a new web to trap your insect prey.
Keep up the good work my little spider friend,
in my garden control those bugs till summer's end.
