Lipstick Rose
What lies behind the hidden rose
Whose seductive lips kissed me so.
Did she kiss me just to spite
Or was she simply being polite.
Was she aware of her seductive pose
This woman so fair, this lipstick rose.
Leaning out of the window, pouting lips of red,
I in turn responded thus, my lips on me she fed.
Oh! Lipstick Rose, your lips so pert,
I never realised you was such a flirt.
Enticed by your beauty and joyful prose,
I thought I had found my lipstick rose.
Your fragrant offering, temptation sweet,
Beguiled was i this man you chose.
Lost in translation, thus not replete,
My darling seductive Lipstick Rose.
