Like Dig This Dig a Grave For a Grave Situation
DIG A GRAVE FOR A GRAVE SITUATION
Sometimes it’s easier to hear goodbye
Than to ask your lover how and why
Just bid farewell to a forget-me-not
And vow never to remain stagnant in one sequestered spot
Yes, my friend, I understand
Why it’s difficult to lose her hand
So many plans that eve which chose to die
As you wished her “goodbye” had been another lie
All those languid lies she spun
And then you heard your lover say “it’s done”
Alas my friend some loves are meant to die
As disaster and deep depression draw nigh
They come so close it hurts you so
As you sit and ponder where she’ll go
Will it be into a handsome swain’s ’s embrace
And with whom shall your lover next share her grace
All those questions matter not to you
All you want is that which once was new
Every sparkle and twinkle in her eyes that let her see
I know because the same thing happened to me
So dry those tears for they shall not serve you well
And let sorrow enter not the place of peace in which you dwell
Your lover’s final farewell was fluent and meant to be
And as I said…….. the same damned thing has happened to me
