I take this to mean a troubled relationship between mother and child. That kind of tumor takes a lifetime to repair. I could have the meaning all wrong, but that is my take on it and I thought it to be very profound Susan. It could also be between man and woman? Excellent writing.

Every entry was lovely in it's own way and deep for the occasion. Good night, ;-) PD ~~ It was the last line that gave the whole meaning and separation of a painful life...

A powerfully sad statement on a love or friendship that causes more pain than happiness, Susan. Awesome! Excellent use of the acrostic form as well. Love, Carolyn

I'm reading everyone's comments to see if they got your meaning. But whether they did or not, they all recognized it was deep and intense. Glad to see you posted it, Susan. Hope you are enjoying your day. I think my back is allergic to Soup. I finally got on here after a whole 24 hours, missing Constance's contest too, and immediately my back starts hurting. GEEEEZ

This acrostic is well defined with poetic details associated with its subject and title. An impressive piece of short work. Hope you are tumor free!

A great little acrostic poem! Good poetry doesn't have to be sweet and pretty. This is terse and gritty...but as I say, a great little write! Love, Robert.
