Light Into Darkness, Darkness Into Forever

The pull of the many creeds and religions Push us all into a harsh reality Where systems meet and define one another A fine thing that is! We can taste light with our tongues and know that beauty is ours to find as we cross the lands where ash and smoke darken the landscape We await the various messiahs The people call for But even as our eyes view light darkness remains as a counterpoint to the hopes we still have Darkness into light, light into forever!

this is a very interesting one. You always have such a unique way of seeing the world. Despite the seeming hopelessness, you have high hopes. by the way, I probably won't vote since I honestly do not know who to vote for!!! they are all bad. I am pretty sure Utah won't vote for Trump,.If I were in a state supporting him, I suppose I would vote to make sure at least he would not win my own state.the Electoral college ruins it. In the end, our vote only is with our state and not the popular vote.

Matt, I am glad to know you are a Democrat. Smart dude!!! I call myself INdependent but lean to the left. I can't see how we can support a party that wants to secure the greed of the wealthy. Let me read this now.

Your poem shares that sense of oneness we won't feel until crossing over. The end goal to remain in the light. You have expressed this so well in this amazing porm Matthew. Bravo! #7
