Life’s Lessons
Life has a way of teaching us
Lessons we need to learn
To be able to grow and be better
Even when the lesson is harsh.
No burden is ever more than
We can bear to carry in our heart
It only strengthens us in life
To show us a way to live.
Life has a way of giving us
A life mate to love
One to help us carry our burdens
To walk beside us in good times.
To shoulder our burdens when
They seem heavier than normal
To carry us when we are weak
To be our rock and steady us.
Life gives us pain and suffering
To teach us to be kind and loving
Life gives us bitter disappointment
To teach us to be compassionate.
Life gives us everything we need
In our lives to learn about
