Life's Doors To Opportunities
Just when everything seemed like a big farce,
Sapped of energy, in the morning I woke up bruised with scars,
And in broad daylight I began seeing stars,
Feeling hopeless, helpless and lost.
When things were at their lowest ebb,
And I felt I was trapped in a spider's web,
Something deep inside began to churn,
And I hoped and prayed that things would turn.
I realized that the world was vast,
And I had given up way too fast,
Assumed that there was just this one door,
And with it closed, nothingness was in store.
I wept that night before I slept,
Awoke in the morning to greet the world,
Deciding to look at things anew,
With a different perspective held in view.
It took a few days for the change,
With new doors opening slightly ajar, I grabbed a toehold wherever I could,
A few months later things did not seem bad,
For my toeholds ensured new wide open doors where I previously thought none existed.
