Lifelong Love
Now in her twilight years,
Sat in her favourite chair.
She knows she's getting old,
Slower now, with greying hair.
But behind her tired eyes
Are memories so sweet.
Of being young and beautiful,
When boys fell at her feet.
But one boy was special,
He came and stole her heart.
He's in the kitchen, making tea
She knew they'd never part.
He has been her lifelong love,
As she, has been to he.
Never a day spent apart,
Always, meant to be.
