Life Wasted
Fear is a terrible waste of our lives
It makes us not live as fully as we could
We do the things that need doing but we stop
doing the things that give us joy
Afraid to enjoy simple pleasures like going somewhere
we have never been
Because the traffic may be too heavy
Someone may put us into an accident
Can't eat at a hole in the wall diner
We may get food poisoning
Can't go in a boat it may sink
No flying, the plane may crash
Don't talk to strangers
So much fear of the unknown, even fear of the known
Since what was OK yesterday may be different today
If we let fear rule our lives we will never know the joy of adventure
The speeding over water
The scenery from the plane
The fantastic food in this tiny diner
The love of a new friend that you just met
Fear limits our abilities to enjoy, to laugh, to even cry over a sad movie
Nothing should be allowed to stop our enjoyment of life
We only get to live once and we need to enjoy each and every day
So live in joy, smile with happiness and be the best you can be
