Life Lingers

A tree silhouettes his outline Tall and dark he leans against the trunk Quietly staring, glancing, thinking, waiting Legs crossed, right hand in pocket He thumbs through coins and keys Nervous anticipation sees him tapping his right foot He looks at his watch, turns his head And sees her approaching him. A huge smile spreads the lines of his face He holds out a hand to greet her She takes it and draws to him Tilting her head to one side As he moves his lips down to meet hers In gentle embrace Life lingers

Like the dramatic movement ... the portrait of a gentle love: sublime! Love always
