Life Is What You Make It
Birth, the life of dreams now comes to town
as parents gain the title as a crown
The dream, the thought, success for mothers child
as both the parents plan the future wild
It's college, love, success the parents dream
in dreams you see your child as a queen
the king of all your future thoughts and schemes
The hero and the knights of tables round
Yet life is not as easy as it seems
sometime the parents drink and fight and scream
sometimes the battles lost and love is gone
sometimes the childs dark night linger on
Yet many are the hurdles that we climb
life the battle sometimes overcome
When you believe that you can climb each rung
When you believe that you are number one
when you believe that you can plan each day
to build the steps that help you grow and play
A young girl living on the city streets
believed that she could do it in her sleep
She crept her way through college
studied in the hall way doors
she build a better future living
in the streets of londons poor
believe that you can do it
you the king of your success
believe that you can do it
never beaten down by death.
