A morning sun cast a soft glow
Golden rays 'pon gray
Life is still somewhat quiet
Faint caws greet the day
That clear golden sun rises higher
Creates shadows through the pines
A warm day is waiting to greet us
Arriving just on time
A pair of swallows dart and play
In the cool of the morn
Their voices sing a beautiful tune
Indicate no present storm
Life calls responsibility
Time to start the new day
Just a few moments for the spirit
Please let my heart play
