Life
Life
Existence on earth is based on survival
And in this system, everyone’s a rival
Relying on God’s creatures for our daily bread
And rushing through life so that everyone’s fed
Our life’s a competition
Our lifestyle’s a race
And we can’t up with our daily pace
We try to earn money so we can attain
The pleasures from those which we can’t refrain
But they are so plainly out of our reach
Our hopes are then shattered
And lie in a ditch
So life becomes empty
And resembles a cycle
And things that would matter
Are no longer vital
So we can no longer ignore its routine
And hide from familiarity and torture we’ve seen
I sincerely hope that the structure will change
And reality for us will shortly arrange
A life rich with passion and sparkling joy
That the earth’s regulations won’t surely destroy
Let’s alter the rules
And let’s hope that we find
Life is worth living, is fair and is kind
