Liberty
Authority might be thine
and loyalty could be mine-
I shall not live in doubt
or subject Dignity to rout.

I'll love you thru an' thru
But not put my Life to rue
In "Friendship', we're joined
Not bodily conjoined.

Friends I surely follow
But then rue it tomorrow
Can I be openly loyal
To ruddy things not royal?
