Letting Go

How can your love hold me When your face I can’t see? How can it still fill my head Each night when I go to bed? Why do you seem so near Although you are not here? When will I finally be free To let another love me? Release your hold, set me free, You can no longer be with me. The time has come to let go Though I’ll always love you so, The grave has claimed you, dear. You are no longer living here. Death has torn us apart, Please let go of my heart. I am speaking these words to you Because I think I am ready to Begin a life with someone new, Though I will always miss you.
