Letter To Daddy

I have been dreaming of a day, That you will call me your beloved child. I have been yearning for a time, When you will tell me that you love me. I have been waiting for a moment, When you will tell me the sweet words of a parent. And today,my prayer has been answered; And the blank space within my heart has been filled. I had lost a piece of me for the lack of your love, But today,I have found it, and I'm glad I'm complete. Dear daddy, for the first time in my life, You have made it known to me how much you don't want me to suffer. For the very first time,I have felt your care. Thanking you is not enough, But because nothing is greater than prayer, I pray for more years for the both of us, That you may get to witness the goodness of the lord, As you eat from the fruits born by the tree from the seed you sowed.
