Let the Smoke Clear

Bartering a deal with the Devil She smiles and says trust me sweetheart you're nowhere near of qualifying level I won't lift a claw to dabble in your dirty work I'll provoke and highlight qualities within your soul you didn't realize lurk When your teeter tottering living life on the edge I'm the voice within pushing you to the brink on the ledge I pray upon all your greatest fears I don't bat an eye or shed a single tear Now honey take it from me some rules in life are meant to be broken It was hard not to listen as she was so incredibly rude and outspoken Come on take a gamble,a roll of the dice Discover how naughty can become the new nice Come join me in envious lustful greed We'll have all we desire and take what we need Circum to fascinating deceitful betrayal and lies Come dig your own grave be your own demise Come take a walk with me on the dark side of the moon Give into temptation, don't wait do it soon Twisted nightmares become your own living hell Meet skeletons in closets with stories to sell Take my advice and follow my lead Don't waste your time bestowing on others a good deed Take my hand and explore with me a toxic world of sin An impulsive deadly game no one ever does win If you don't think you can handle the heat I highly suggest you tuck tail and retreat Don't be so easily persuaded to sign and seal the deal Stakes are high when it's your optimistic soul they aim to steal Don't feed the intoxicating poison in her veins that gets stronger as further from faith you stray Even on your darkest day let the smoke clear, don't add fuel to the fire and allow your faith to slip away

A brilliant verse Melissa, how sad so many fall by the wayside, the cause of so much evil in our world. Regards Tom.
