Let Me Sing
Let me sing to you upon the wind
That brushes over mountain tops
And, in the valley far below,
Dances through the farmers’ crops.
I’ll sing the sea which sends its waves
Before the wind, an act of trust,
And dandelions in a field
That send their seeds, a swirling dust.
I’ll sing the smile in someone’s eyes
Who welcomes you with open arms
And random eagles overhead
While sparrows sound their shrill alarms.
In the quiet of the night
I’ll sing you here to be with me,
To outshine all this world gives us.
I’ll sing us all as family.
