Lest We Forget
Like giant birds of prey they took to the sky
Emptying their payload from way up on high
So what if it's Dresden, Berlin or Cologne
Tell them of London, of England, of home.
Winging their way oe'r land, sea and shore
Ensuring your freedom they gave of their all.
Forget all your preaching now years are long gone
Objections are easy once deeds have been done
Remember instead their freedom, their youth
Gone in six years as they fought for you
Enter their names in the log books of pride
To tell them, at last, you are on their side.
