Left Wondering

I feel my friendship has been discarded Tossed aside My words held no meaning My words inadequate to the task She left in the middle of the night Took her few remaining words An empty spot A kind word not received Encouragement lost A smile I will not feel So I must wonder Were we friends Was it a game of pretend In the final analyse a dead end I am still here Maybe too far but still near Willing to listen I didn't go away Don't true friends stay The ones left behind pay So I'm left with anger Feeling hurt So to cope I'll stop looking here and there I will try not to care We invest a lot of our selves with the friends we make on the Soup a second family of sorts. Becca was like a little sister and a bright spot in my day. I will miss her, I see this morning her account is gone.

I've just read this poem and was going to say, I don't believe we've been tossed away, sometimes circumstances beyond our vision dictate actions of others, Becca, if you read this, know we miss you.

Me too Richard but she had her reasons...people like Becca don't hurt people on purpose..and there are hurtful people on soup too...some people don't have the emotional strenghth to take them for what they are!

It's too bad. I don't understand when people just delete everything and go. This is a heartfelt poem. I hope she returns to see your poems, Richard. I sure would enjoy seeing her again.

Agreed, personally I have been treated well by all the people I have been in contact with, mind you I tend not to go on the blogs so I miss some of what goes on behind the scenes.

Richard....I'm sorry you are hurting. Don't second guess yourself. Don't stop caring. She will be back in time because I KNOW she cared so much about many people here....I do believe you were top of the list! :) Your friendship will survive this....be patient.

I understand this all too well. As the saying goes: "A reason, a season, or a lifetime". Perhaps, the mystery isn't as complex as it presents itself. I believe time will answer this. That said, I know how sad & frustrating this is...
