Leaving a Brand New Friend
if it had just been an acquaintance,
or perhaps something along the lines of a
business meeting swine,
then the walk away would have been
easier,
but in this particular incident, s/he
found him/herself not wanting to leave
this new person who had graced his/her
presence only a day ago.
initially, how the two meet is unimportant,
though in retrospect, as the years progress &
so does the beauty of the relationship
between the two,
the friendship grows &
looking back, there will be so much
uncovered in that first
impression,
which at the time, neither party took a
moment’s notice.
no doubt, it was the stressors of the day
which masked the fact that the two had so
much in common &
truthfully, they both thought that when
they exchanged information,
neither would hear from the other again,
but in leaving a brand new
someone
which one related to so well &
to which, there was no other obligation
needed,
only one question remains---
“when will we see each other again?”
