Leaves
Can you hear
the leaves talking?
They rustle and whisper
secrets about you and I as we walk
and talk and sit under their canopies.
If they were to reveal all that they have
heard or seen, would it frighten our
souls? Only heaven knows. Come
now, wind, and quickly blow
their secrets away. Crush
them underfoot, never
to be repeated
again in this
life.
