Leave Me Be, Let Me Go

I am there when you ask, And it all ends in tears, Making it difficult, To get through these years, Please leave me be, Please let me go, I’m not to blame, For situations you create, Forgive me for speaking of your selfish ways, But it all was caused because you were pain, Please leave me be, Please let me go, Given the strength, To walk away, I can’t ignore the way of things, Father, I love you, As much as you think it isn’t so, I must ask you to leave me be, And let me go, I am no longer a child, Ready to step in the wild, Please leave me be, Please let me go, When you stuck that gun into your mouth, I remembered the little girl I forgot all about, Now is the time, I have realized, For you to leave me be, And let me go.
