Leave

Just like a train getting ready for departure Keeping you here won’t even matter, Because you’re destined to leave Just like a soldier called to war You have your own duties to fulfill, And even though it’s hard for me to capture, You still have to leave Just like the one before, God is taking you somewhere else, But that somewhere else doesn’t include me Objectively, what we had is not much, But it was just enough for 24-year-old me Subjectively, our connection was a sight to see, But there’s a reason you have to leave I will miss you, Your smile, Your laugh, And your wit But obviously, this was never meant to last, And as for me, I’ll continue on just like the past Because they always leave.
