Learning How To Skate Again

It all started yesterday went to the skating rink, I haven't skated for years back then, I didn't stink. I used to be a good skater then, there it was yesterday, smooth ice laughing and taunting tried to keep my fear at bay. I took to the ice carefully like a child hanging onto the railing, made it over halfway around then I fell, I felt like bailing. I dusted myself off and got up after that itty-bitty trip, I landed on my back and knotted up my hip. I didn't stay down long I was back up on my feet, still hanging onto the railing wasn't going to let myself be beat. My legs felt just like jello went around the rink again, not now, but sometime soon the ice WILL be my friend. Copyright Cynthia Jones Nov.18/2015 I haven't skated for about 20 years or more. I was actually terrified to get back out on the ice. I might have taken a spill, but I got back up and went on skating nervously.
