Learning

A kitten too young to be out of the nest; maybe her siblings had pushed her. She was too young to know God, for no one'd had time to teach about that. Maybe she'd crawled out, seeking, not knowing what she'd longed for, like being in college; not knowing which course to take or study. Someone grabbed her putting her safely into a nest, but wait! Not the nest she had come from. There was warmth, loving and sharing, a mother to give milk, though not the mother of her birth. The Great Father reached to her whispering truths she could not refute; there was no more need for a nest.
