Leaders
When I have seen the rise and fall of fools
Whose empires dissipate upon a whim.
These tyrants and these clowns who get to rule
And grey the light to make the world so grim.
What madness stored within the hearts of men
Believe that power and glory is a right,
And we allow them, time and time again,
To lead, and take us back into the night.
Perhaps this is the way that men must live
To ride the tides of time and serve these knaves.
Whose role in life is just to bow and give
Who think them free but really are but slaves.
Until that time when man can see the light
His fortunes will be bound to hate and spite
