Last Words

What if the last thing that I said to you this morning, Was the last thing that I ever said then I died without warning? Would you try your best to recapture every last expression? Hoping that each nuance might offer a clearer explanation. Would those words that I uttered follow me into eternity? Carved into my headstone or would you kindly disagree? I’m counting on you, just like always, to make my final edit, No one would ever have to know the phrase if you never said it. If you’re asked my last words please don’t feel the need to share, I’d hate to be remembered for “Honey, I’m out of clean underwear.”

Ha, ha. Always part with a saying profound like, "My underclothes still disclose what I did yesterday."
