Last Night

Last night I dreamt of her again, And then unearthed a hidden pain. I smelled the scent of her perfume And felt her aura take the room. With every step she lit the hall Upon her sight a King would fall. The likes of her you’d never find, Which makes me doubt if she’s mankind. Her luscious lips, enchanted vines To get a taste the heart inclines. Those charming eyes, Medusa’s look, Will stone the brave from book to book. I stretched my hand to steal a feel Of silky skin, she’s so surreal. But like the wind without my grasp, She whirled on, escaping my clasp, Leaving my heart sad and forlorn, Just as she’s so often done.
