Last Love
First loves are precious
The memories burn
The faces are there
Wherever you turn
The sweet memory
Of tasty first kiss
How moist the lips felt
How full of pure bliss
The mad beating heart
About to explode
Unable to cope…
With this overload
The look in the eyes
That can quickly melt
The caressing hand
Making passion felt
As sweet as all this
Can be to the soul
It is the last love
That can make one whole
The last love that speaks
Of tender regard
That will be there to aid
When the way gets hard
The last kiss of love
When life ebbs away
A promise to meet
On that blessed day
Last love is tender
It knows where it’s been
It has loved and loved
Through thick and through thin
Last love has reason
Not flighty but real
Based on decision
Not just what you feel
My first kiss burned you
My second was sweet
My last one, darling
Will be the best treat
First love is silver
The last one is gold
On tried and true love
My heart is now sold
