Last Journey of a Pharaoh
Let me waver not at the last,
approaching in my solitude.
When death is near and fast
let me accept the vicissitudes
unlocked by the key of life,
perpetuated by death’s rife,
confusing the multitudes.
Let me swim the mysterious
sea at the head of the snake,
fed by tears of the wife of Osiris.
Let the key of the Nile partake
in my safety for the journey.
My flight through eternity,
tho infinite in time to make.
“key of life” and “key of the Nile”
Embodied in the Ankh: Symbol of eternal life.
