Lakeside Dreams

In the evening breeze, cool and soothing Waves rolling and calling And the birds chirping and tweeting I make my forever dreams Coined out of a memoir of days forgone Far beyond the yellow horizon In the hazy light of the setting sun Dreams of days to come cross my mind And I close my eyes in wishful thoughts. Times will come when I will dream no more So now that I got the time Let me dream and dream again Of better times and lovely days When fear and anxiety reign no more And laughter be the daily norm Then, only then, will I dream no more. But, While all above are hallucinations big, May I dream and never stop. For the lake knows not my heavy heart, Though it lulls the hurt within And heals the wounds so deep And so by the lakeside I make my dreams And to nature submit my hopes. Because, To dream, I will dream and wish
