Lady In White

Three ladies sat talking on the porch As twilight lit the crescent torch Max, an old dog lay by their feet He hardly ever barked. and had lost most of his teeth As light was fading into dark Suddenly they heard Max bark A lady dressed in white was approaching the gate Walking at a leisurely rate Then just like that she disappeared And they all ran inside the house They had just seen a ghost. that was clear But they never saw her again when they sat out there
