Laces And Soulful Paces

like opposite shoe sides, tightly secured together meeting each other’s needful strides, two different species making sure-footed, secure bow-ties – though truth seldom in mating’s many polished, too often only briefly vowed male and feminine lies~ wide-open complicit eyes – love’s poetic tries endearingly written and playfully recited-spoken -- both faux and pure leather, cured, laced though not always eternal, for the breeding moment fashionably unbroken or one night we stand lie down together as the house-glass and stone sometimes no greater evil~ just the separation of alone

So many outside influences can tear two people apart. I've found that it isn't just two, but that there is often a third person involved. I like this poem with it's timely metaphors and mystery of love.

Yep, have been victim of that, a third person protagonist -- relationships are indeed complicated, responsibility not always easy to define. Blessings my friend.

Love is so complex that it gives one the impression couples are miles apart. But your arguments are solid and appreciated.

Indeed, they can be miles apart...while together...a dilemma of relationships. Thank you, Victor.

Yes, hidden in plain sight -- what we allow ourselves to see, is truth to us...but not necessarily Truth. Thank you, Vie. Blessings my friend.

I enjoyed the depth of your words, Joe. Your lines were captivating as they painted pictures of love's pursuit and ending with separation. The contrast was striking. Have a pleasant evening, Sara

:) Hi Woody; not to fear -- my wife and I often joke that, the different way men and women approach things, we sometimes seem like unrelated species. Thank you for reading my friend.

A splendid write Joe--wooing for love, reaching out to each other--these lines paint the story of pursuit: wide-open complicit eyes – love’s poetic tries endearingly written and playfully recited-spoken ---not always eternal, true--but blessing nonetheless-- lovely depiction, my friend.

Just the separation of alone! What a powerful line to end this with! I love the depth of what youv conveyed here and how creatively youv played around with words as always dear joe. Especially these lines stood out for me “ complicit eyes – love’s poetic tries endearingly written and playfully recited-spoken -- both faux and pure leather, cured, laced” your way with using alliterations and flow of lines truly enhances the eloquence of your write! Well done! Pleasure reading this
