ahhh closer...just remember phrases not sentences & labour lost could be [empty fry pan] see how one shows the labour is lost and the other tells? Light & Love

Kashinath, I simply can't tell you what to do, the comment box won't take my directions.I am trying to show you how to center your poetry. Geeez!! what the heck? Maybe if I separate my instructions. YOu have to write the word center between the two arrows on your keyboard. the arrows are < and the opposite one of it. Put those around the word center and do that right in front of the word "if" which is first word of your poem and also at the end of your poem, right after the last word. Go try

As a fishermen, I have seen them flop out of the boat, drop off the hook and even "jump out of the fishing net," Kashinath. But that won't deter me from trying to catch dinner. Another haiku that would make a fine entry for Charles' contest. However will you choose just one? Love, Carolyn

Kashinath, methinks you got those syllable count rules just perfect, and you came up with a really nice sounding haiku. I think it would be a huge disappointment to lose a fish like that! Luv, Andrea
