Kittens
Kittens
I must admit that I was smitten
When I first saw my neighbours kitten
Curled up on the sofa, tiny ball of fire
Crawled up on my chest when I sat upon a chair
Tiny whiskers tickled my nose
Warm fur brushing my cheek
Little noises came from the bundle
Alternating between a purr and a squeak
A sweet little furbaby melting my heart
I think I’m an ailurophile
I'm hesitant to depart
Cute pink pads on tiny grey paws
Curled up cuteness with tiny sharp claws
Such a pampered life,
The life of a cat
I wish my life was just like that.
