Dear sweet sara this kind of reminds me of childhood and kites , back in the day kites were a thing, and everyone enjoyed kite flying. And what a deep metaphor this is to describe childhood and time. To say that the young are the kite and the aging are anchors has a philosophical wisdom there , that hits deep and keeps readers pondering. Brilliant poem this is. Pleasure reading your work always.
