Kissed You Hello
Thick grey-white clouds paint the sky
over leafless limbs of large maple trees
ones in warmer days we'd climb
At frosted windows I stand
looking out through glazed eyes
remembering times
where our smiles couldn't hide
and our days seemed like they would never end.
Those sunsets were so surreal
their soft glowing rays I could feel
along with your smooth sun-soaked arms
wrapped around me so tight
you could have held me all night
Oh how I wish time could have stood still
as I looked deep in your soul
and I kissed you hello.
