Kiss of Nothingness
Her entry is as silent as the darkness…
Her soft touch is as emotionless as a stare …
Her icicle kiss of nothingness is like water – tasteless…
Her presence is unwelcomed by many ‘coz none is aware…
Her heartbeat has no rhythm as it is void of any feeling…
She knows not the sense of warmth nor the beauty of caressing…
She snatches that which she desires, freely with no hesitation…
Her unseen beauty brings a tear to the eyes and a startling scare…
Her exit is filled with frustration and saddened depression…
With prize in hand, her abrupt departure is swift and unheard…
Crying screams of disarray, feelings of melancholy engulf the Earth…
Yet her return journey remains unperturbed…
Her icicle kiss of nothingness was loaded with Death…
Life was disturbed, but
Living lives on….
