Kibbles My Cat

One summers eve I was watching tv When a big fluffy cat strolled in And meowed at me I did not know From where he had come But I fed him, and stroked him It was joyful and fun Every day he would come back for more Oh this big fluffy cat, I did so adore It was one afternoon When I spoke to a neighbor She told me that, I was his savior She looked at me, and as she sighed She told me that, his owner died He adopted me to be his mum My life with a cat had just begun He gives me such joy, and always the giggles Oh, and by the way I named him Kibbles He fills my life with so much love and affection When he puers on my lap, It's tranquil perfection You never know whats coming your way When Kibbles arrived, it was my lucky day!

Simone! Thank you so much for the lovely comments you have left for me! I love this poem; I know what a great friend a cat can be. Mine was baiting a tiny mouse yesterday but I distracted him and the little creature lives....... for now anyway. Blesss you x x x

Too very cute , Simone, and I can relate... I have my crazy cat, Gabriel, and my calm cat, Bronco.. think names should have been reversed somehow... they are my first cat pets.. always had large dogs before but downsized living quarters.. hence.. cats.. luv this poem .. printing it out for my cats to enjoy... glad u liked my tribute to Izzy .. a dear person and friend.. will be reading more of your poetry too... How lucky you have been finding a friend in this cat. Great story! Great lines! My neighbour's cat, his name is Fritz, did not come being fed for some days now. Hope nothing has happened to him. Muchas gracias por su cometario de mi poema "El mar". I am still busy with packing before moving. So I have no idea when I will have the brake to post more poems. Keep writing...Gert

You've entered my turf in this poem Simone. I have a beautiful Manx cat whom I call "Tiger", he brings much joy to my life, I raised him from a kitten. An animal lover, is a lover from my own heart, of hearts. Sincerely, Moses

So many wonderful cats seem to have strayed into my life, Simone. This wonderful poem holds special meaning for me. For those who have never felt the affection of a feline, that "tranquil perfection" you describe has never been realized. Lovely write! Thanks for sharing, Carolyn
