Keeping Those Blues At Bay
Damn right the blues are here to stay
I have earned my stripes each day
Chicago native my blues run deep
We learn to feel the pain, not weep.
Strive, endure push forward too
Believe someday change that's true
Life's not always what you expect
Forward plug on you have to trek.
For some it's easy for most it's not
It's just not something that you can plot
Twists and turns will come your way
Hold your head up push forward each day
He left you no money alone in the dark
Took off in the car while trying to park
Sometimes it best he's gone they say
Start fresh, begin anew today
Your strong enough to do it alone
Find a place, make it a home
Work hard, push on is all you can do
Someday you gets what's coming to you.
