Just Passing By

I was just passing by the side of the house When a thorn On a winter rose bush Snagged my coat I walked on without thought But then I’d swear a summer ghost spoke That sudden sense As though a scarlet petal brushed my hand As though its breath warmed my face Memory Ah memory in the snow

Beautiful expressions and memories taking shape in a brilliant poem. So nicely said. Absolutely wonderful. Last four lines are amazing. Sometime back I wrote a little similar idea in my poem ‘Autumn and its falling leaves'. Hope you would find it interesting. Sorry I could not read more of your poems till now but shortly I will read them. Best wishes and love... Ravindra......Daver Austin
